Version 2.32 More keys October the 10th, 1993
GUS support
Bug in the loader fixed
- You can now enable/disable also the channels 11-16 by pressing the
number of the channel with alt.
- Gravis Ultrasound now supported. Unfortunately, no bars nor power
meters with it. Maybe in the future.. Anyway, no power meter would
be needed, anyway -- playing with GUS takes approximately half a
scanline in 486/33.. ;)
- A bug in the loader part fixed. I don't know if it helps or not,
but it's fixed now, anyway..

Version 2.31 Bugfixes September the 9th, 1993
Totally new volume bars
- Returning from the DOS shell, the colors were not set, resulting
to a really ugly screen.
- A couple of bugs fixed in the S3M loader. Hope it works with all
the S3Ms now. If not, please report.
- I totally rewrote the colorbar routine. This routine now supports
up to 16 bars (the other colors on the screen will be masked off
as you get more bars, though), and is much faster than the
previous one. It also supports bars starting and ending wherever
they want, so that I made some choices for the volume bars:
original top-bouncing ones, traditional ones that come from the
floor, and nice ones that bounce in the middle of the screen.
Try them by pressing B..
- In the fading routine there was a bug. Most clearly it occured
while the end screen was being shown: some noise was heard. Now
fixed.

Version 2.30 Bugfix September the 2nd, 1993
Layout changed
More time for playing!
Power meters
Colors changed
Internet address changed
- Bugfix: A bug in the 669 loader fixed
- Screen layout changed a little, because
- I wanted to have more time to calculate music. Now the bars eat
less power, and maybe also users of slower machines can use them..
- Power meters added. They are the little bouncing bars in the
borders of the screen.
- I decided to radically change the colors of the PMP. I chose blue,
as you can see.. I hope you like the new colors. There may be
an unchanged color somewhere (resulting as a flashing/almost
invisible color). If you notice one, please tell it to me.
- Because of these color changes, PMP now no longer works with EGA.
Sorry.. anyway, no VGA check is made, so you may hear music,
anyway.. Try!
- I finally got a real Internet account. The address is
jlahd@clinet.fi. Please use this instead of the old one.
- There still is a bug in the S3M loader. For some odd reason, it
does not load for example cant.s3m (Why can't you remember/
Marvel of FC). I am working on it..
- GUS support COMING SOON

Version 2.25 New quality mode August the 1st, 1993
New AMF version support
Bugfixes
- New quality mode added.
- New AMF format supported. Modules converted with a new version of
m2amf were not played correctly.
- Bugfixes

Version 2.24 Bugfix May the 25th, 1993
Changed addresses
- PMP didn't like 669 modules with too many patterns. It reported
module as corrupted... Now fixed.
- My netmail and email addresses have changed. I now have a better
Internet email address than before.. New addresses:
Fidonet 2:221/105.7, Internet email avatar@salpu.fipnet.fi

Version 2.23 Bugfixes May the 24th, 1993
ARIA support
669 support
- S3M modules now play much better (commands are better supported)
- A bug in the STM and S3M loaders caused awful noises in modules
with very short looping instruments. Corrected, but not tested,
because I have no such modules.. Report if the bug is still there.
- Memory handling in V86 environment changed slightly. If you still
encounter runtime errors in the V86 mode, but not in the non-V86-
more, please report.
- PMP now supports the ARIA soundcard, though it does not work very
well with QEMM for some STRANGE reason. Sorry about that, I'm
trying to fix the bug..
- PMP now knows how to load the 669 modules. It also knows how to
play them... I guess...

Version 2.22 Bugfixes May the 6th, 1993
ScreamTracker 3 support!
- I REALLY thought I had corrected the module list window updating
bug -- and, actually, I did. But, while correcting the bug I
happened to create a new one with the same result: nothing was
updated anyway.. Now definitely FIXED.
- A bug appeared into the memory handling in some version, I don't
know when. Anyway, it took about 30k of extra memory from DOS
shell when running with QEMM/EMM/other memory manager. Now fixed.
- Maybe also other bugs fixed. Too long a period between versions..
- PMP now plays ST3-modules (*.S3M)! There are three batch files
included to rip the music from Future Crew's demos Unreal, The
Party'93 -intro and Panic.

Version 2.21 Bugfix March the 24th, 1993
'Chameleon' volume bars
- After returning from the DOS shell PMP didn't update the module
list window properly (only the tags were shown, without the file
names). Corrected.
- Volume bars now change their color all the time. Looks fancy! :)

Version 2.20 Bugfixes March the 16th, 1993
Instrument window
Volume bars
New addresses
- A bug in the module disposing procedure sometimes caused the
computer to hang up. Fixed.
- Some other minor bugs fixed.
- Instrument window added
- Volume bars added.
!!! NOTE !!! Volume bars need very much CPU power. If there is
not enough power, they will flicker. Press B to get
rid of them.
- Layout was changed a little because of the changes above
- I have moved my point system into another address. Look at the
end screen or the documentation for the new information.

Version 2.10 Bugfixes March the 6th, 1993
SB Pro stereo support
Module window added
Screen layout changed
- A bug in the AMF loader fixed. Caused a runtime error 216 sometimes.
- The MOD loader was unable to load the 15-instrument mods. Corrected.
- A minor bug in the master volume fixed.
- SB Pro stereo support added.
- Added a window showing modules in the playing list.
- Mostly because of that, changed the screen layout slightly

Version 2.01 Bugfixes March the 5th, 1993
New module format
- A bug in module loader caused some patterns to black out from the
loaded module. Corrected.
- Problems with corrupted modules solved; previously they just caused
a memory-low -message to be shown, now they are handled correctly.
- The system is made a bit more stabile with some fixes. I hope it
helps somebody.. (It's not easy to write a DOS-shelling protected
mode application..)
- PMP is having problems with some disk caches. The system locks up
when you try to load something in the DOS shell. If somebody has
suggestions for solving this problem, please contact me.
- New AMF format with over four channels supported
···∙∙∙──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────∙∙∙···
Version 2.0 Bugfixes March the 4th, 1993
More module formats
New outlook
Enhancements
- Pro Audio Spectrum support did not work at all. Corrected.
- Also other bugfixes, but I can't remember what..
- Triton's Fast Tracker 6 and 8 channel module support added
- Changed the screen into 50-line mode.
- PMP now loads many modules to memory, so you can play multiple
modules at the background (and it takes no more memory from DOS!)
- Keyboard handler added, you can operate PMP also from DOS shell
- PMP now supports an environment variable, PMP, in which you can
save your preferred settings
···∙∙∙──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────∙∙∙···
Version 1.0 First release March the 1st, 1993
- Plays modules just like DMP 2.11
- Loads STM, MOD and AMF files
- Runs in the protected mode
- Offers a DOS shell with even over 550k of memory left,
regardless of the size of the module!
